DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN ANTANANARIVO - DRIVE TO ANTSIRABE

Welcome to Madagascar! Upon arrival in Antananarivo, our Cactus Tours representative will meet and brief you about your trip. Then, we'll embark on a scenic five-hour drive to Antsirabe, a colonial town nestled in a fertile volcanic area. En route, we'll visit the Aluminium artisans ‘workshops in Ambatolampy. Overnight at Arotel. (Or similar) Dinner included.

DAY 2: ANTSIRABE – MORONDAVA

After breakfast, we'll begin a long day drive to Morondava, the Land of Baobabs, on the Midwest coast of Madagascar. We'll make several stops along the way to admire the diverse landscapes and visit the village of gold miners. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy the sightseeing. Overnight at Laguna Beach Hotel. (Or similar) Breakfast & Dinner are included.

DAY 3: MORONDAVA – KIRINDY

Today, we'll take an off-road drive through the Baobab forests and the savannah to the Reserve of Kirindy. This dry deciduous reserve is home to the famous Fossa predator and several species of lemurs, reptiles, and birds. We'll have day and night walks to explore the area. Overnight at Relais du Kirindy. (Or similar) Breakfast & Dinner are included.

DAY 4: KIRINDY – MORONDAVA

We'll head back to Belo sur Tsiribihina and visit the marketplace of the village. After crossing the Tsiribihina River again on a motorboat, we'll continue to Baobab Avenue to enjoy the sunset before returning to Morondava. Overnight at Laguna Beach Hotel. (Or similar) Breakfast & Dinner are included.

DAY 5: MORONDAVA – ANTANANARIVO - ANDASIBE

At dawn, we'll drive back to Baobab Avenue to witness the magical morning lights and views of this area. Then, we'll transfer to the airport for a flight back to Antananarivo and continue eastward to Andasibe, a journey of around five hours, depending on traffic. We'll take a short night walk to spot nocturnal animals in the evening. Overnight at Vakôna Forest Lodge. (Or similar) Breakfast & Dinner are included.

DAY 6: ANDASIBE NATIONAL PARK

Today, we'll explore Analamazaotra Nature Reserve (part of Andasibe NP) on a hike to spot the largest of all lemurs, called “Indri indri,” as well as other animals and medicinal plants. In the afternoon, we'll visit Lemurs’ Island for a close encounter with these amazing creatures. Overnight at Vakôna Forest Lodge. (Or similar) Breakfast & Dinner are included.

DAY 7: ANDASIBE – ANTANANARIVO – FLY OUT

After a leisurely breakfast at your Lodge, we'll drive back to Antananarivo, with the possibility of visiting local villages and fields to get closer to the local people and their way of life. Depending on your flight schedules, we'll transfer you to the airport for check-in and your flight back home. Breakfast included.
